EV Charge Scheduling
Automatically charges your EV at the best time based on your tariff rates and solar forecast. Choose how aggressively to charge with three modes:
- Low — cheapest slots only. Maximum savings.
- Medium — cheap and normal slots. Balances cost with readiness.
- High — priority charging, ready by a time you set.
Need charge right now? Boost overrides the schedule and starts charging immediately. Planning a trip? Journey scheduling lets you add a departure date and time so the optimiser guarantees your car is ready when you need it.
Savings Tracking
See exactly what the optimiser is saving you. Every day, Joule Genie records what you actually paid versus what you would have paid on a flat grid tariff or a basic overnight timer—so you always know your return.

Secure by Design
Your inverter and tariff credentials are encrypted at rest—we never store them in plain text. All communication between your browser and our servers is over TLS.
Accounts are protected with bcrypt password hashing, optional two-factor authentication via an authenticator app or SMS, and per-user lockout after repeated failed attempts. You can revoke access at any time.
Solar Forecast
Joule Genie predicts how much solar your panels will generate each day, combining the weather forecast with the specific details of your installation—panel size, tilt, orientation, and shading.
