1. Acceptance

By using Joule Genie's website or services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Service description

Joule Genie provides energy optimisation software that connects to home energy hardware (solar inverters, batteries, EV chargers, and vehicles) via manufacturer APIs. We provide data visualisation, battery scheduling recommendations, and EV charge scheduling.

3. Integration development programme

By registering your interest for a new integration, you acknowledge that:

  • Our developers may require temporary access to your device credentials during development and testing
  • You grant this access voluntarily and can revoke it at any time by contacting us
  • We will use industry-standard encryption (AES-256-GCM) to protect your credentials
  • Access is logged, audited, and restricted to authorised personnel only
  • Credentials will be transferred to automated systems or deleted once the integration is complete

4. No guarantee of integration

Registering your interest does not guarantee that an integration will be built for your hardware. We prioritise based on demand, technical feasibility, and API availability from hardware manufacturers.

5. Liability

Joule Genie Ltd carries professional indemnity insurance and cyber liability insurance. Our total liability is limited to the amount of our insurance coverage applicable to your claim.

We are not liable for any actions taken by your hardware as a result of incorrect API commands, manufacturer API outages, or third-party service failures beyond our control.

6. Data protection

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection regulations.

7. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
