Read state of charge, plug status, charging state, and estimated range from Audi electric vehicles. Supports models including Q4 e-tron, Q8 e-tron, e-tron GT, A6 e-tron, and Q6 e-tron.
Getting Started
Connect your Audi electric vehicle to see battery state of charge, plug status, and estimated range — and let Joule Genie incorporate your vehicle's charging needs into its energy optimisation schedule.
Step 1: Set Up the myAudi App
If you haven't already, download the myAudi app (available on iOS and Android) and sign in with your Audi account. Make sure your vehicle appears in the app and is showing status data (battery level, range). Your vehicle must have an active myAudi connectivity subscription — this is typically included with the vehicle for a number of years. Check in the myAudi app under My Car > Services & Subscriptions to confirm status data services are active.
Step 2: Add the Integration in Joule Genie
In Joule Genie, go to Settings > Integrations > Add Integration and select Audi from the Vehicle category. Enter the email address and password you use to sign in to the myAudi app.
Step 3: Select Your Vehicle
Joule Genie will connect to your myAudi account and list all electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles registered. Select the vehicle you want to monitor and optimise. If you only have one eligible vehicle it will be selected automatically.
Step 4: Verify Connection
Within a few minutes the dashboard will show your vehicle's state of charge, plug status, and estimated range. When your vehicle is plugged in, the optimiser will plan charging into the cheapest rate periods on your tariff.
Supported Features
- Battery state of charge (SOC)
- Plug status (plugged in / unplugged)
- Charging state (charging / not charging)
- Estimated range (km)
Supported Models
Any Audi BEV or PHEV with an active myAudi connectivity subscription, including: Q4 e-tron, Q4 Sportback e-tron, Q8 e-tron, Q8 Sportback e-tron, e-tron GT, RS e-tron GT, A6 e-tron, Q6 e-tron, and compatible PHEV variants.
Troubleshooting
- "Authentication failed"? Double-check your myAudi email and password. If you use a VW Group account that also works with SEAT, Skoda, or VW apps, use those same credentials — the underlying identity system is shared.
- Vehicle not appearing? Ensure the vehicle is registered in the myAudi app and status data is visible there first. Vehicles without an active connectivity subscription will not return data.
- Status not updating? Audi vehicles may delay status updates when parked with the infotainment fully off. Status typically refreshes when the vehicle is next used or the ignition is cycled.
